I ordered the wrong disk, but the music is OK August 30, 2010 Linda Kidder (Palinda) The service was good. I just spaced out and ordered the wrong disk but don't plan to return it, I'll live with it.
Not for me, sorry, not relaxing enough April 8, 2010 Marina A. 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
The reason I didn't immediately review this product after getting it in the mail over 2 years ago is because I was disappointed with it. I'm not familiar with pianists, classics, instrumentals, or the likes, but I bought this because it says "relaxing", and I thought I could really listen to something like this while I lie down trying to "relax". I actually didn't find it relaxing, I found it boring it actually put me to sleep out of boredom every time I tried to listen to it. I think I can count how many times I've played the cd since 2 years ago. Not more than 10 times I believe.
Lovely, lovely! December 25, 2009 Sue (North Carolina) This CD is true to it's name. I love it. Will recommend it to anyone that loves piano music and want to just mellow out and relax.
Relaxing Music Suited For Today's Busy Lifestyles July 27, 2009 Rebecca*rhapsodyinblue* (CA USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
"A vast and tender calm
Seems to descend from the sky
Lit by the moon
This is the exquisite hour" ~ Paul Verlaine ~
The above quote is taken from a poem by 19th Century Fench poet Paul Verlaine titled "La Bonne Chanson No. 6." His words fittingly describe the ambience of this classical album which promises unruffled musical moments just perfect for unwinding and relaxing, or when you're driving in a busy freeway that virtually looks like a parking lot.
This two-CD-set, "The Most Relaxing Piano Album In The World...Ever!" presents rich and varied classical favorites from the most brilliant composers from Baroque Era's Johann Sebastian Bach to Modern Era's Erik Satie as interpreted by various pianists from Stephen Hough and Dame Moura Lympany to Walter Giesekeng and Peter Donohue.
With this compilation, be ready to be mesmerized by the tranquil beauties of thirty-six of the most relaxing piano pieces of all-time most especially Debussy's "Clair de Lune," Beethoven's "Fur Elise" and "Piano Sonata No. 14 in C Sharp Minor" (Moonlight Sonata), Bach's "Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring" and Mozart's "Piano Concerto No. 21" (Elvira Madigan).
You will also be delighted with Liszt's "Libestraum No. 1 in A Flat," Rachmaninoff's "Rhapsody On A Theme of Paganini," Chopin's "Etude In E Op. 10 No. 3" (Tristesse) and "Nocturne in E Flat Op. 9 No. 2," "Mendelssohn's "Fruhlingslied" (Spring Song) and Debussy's "La Fille Aux Cheveux De Lin" (The Girl With The Flaxen Hair).
Most of the greatest pianistic composers' masterpieces that are soul-satisfying, uplifting and inspiring are offered on this collection - sonatas, waltzes, etudes, preludes, minuets, nocturnes and concertos. There is something for every classical music lover's preferences. You'll have a relaxing and soothing musical experience with this two-CD-set.
Wholeheartedly recommended!
Wonderful August 29, 2008 Susan Rasmussen (St. Paul, MN USA) Wonderful classical music. The CD is very relaxing and offers a wide variety of favorite classical music. I can't wait to listen to the other "Relaxing" CD's that are available.
